The 10 Best DJ Record Pools 2023
DJ record pools are an absolute lifesaver for modern DJs.
They’re a one-stop shop for updating collections while reducing the amount of time needed to do so, all for a reasonable monthly fee.
After equipment, record pools are by far one of the best investments you’ll make as a DJ, as they free you up to practice your craft and give you access to more music than you can handle.
So, to make things easy for you, we’ve put together a list of the 10 best DJ record pools, which will hopefully help you decide which one’s right for you.
But first, let’s understand what a DJ record pool is and why they’re so good.
What Is A DJ Record Pool?
A DJ record pool is an online subscription service that offers DJs exclusive access to promotional music.
DJs save themselves hours of research by using a record pool, as they’d typically have to search for each track one at a time, which can often be pretty tricky for DJs that cater to a variety of different genres.
This is where DJ record pools come into play. By paying a monthly or an annual subscription to a record pool, DJs gain access to thousands of high-quality tracks, all under one roof.
However, it’s worth mentioning that record pools are not open to the public, and most require you to go through an application process or sign a disclaimer stating you’re a DJ.
So, if you’re thinking about signing up for a record pool, then we say go for it, as it’s one of the best investments you’ll make as a DJ.
The 10 Best DJ Record Pools 2023
We’ve thoroughly researched and tested the best DJ pools on the market, assessing them for music content, genre diversity, and overall features to present you with the best in the business.
Here’s our list of the 10 best DJ record pools in 2023:
Price: $25 Per Month Intro Plan / $35 Billed Yearly Unlimited Pro Plan
ZIPDJ markets themselves as “the only DJ Pool you need,” and in our opinion, they’re spot on.
Although they’re on the higher end of the budget spectrum, we think ZIPDJ provides a lot of value for money.
For example, their back catalog is massive, and they offer unlimited music downloads, so you won’t have to worry about running out of tracks anytime soon.
Secondly, they add and update music daily, which means you’re getting access to the latest tracks within a wide variety of genres as soon as they’re available.
They’ve also partnered with over 2000+ international labels, including Ultra Music and Ministry of Sound, and offer 60 sub-genre categories like Dance, House, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Electronic.
When you download your tracks, you’ll get the highest quality 320kbps MP3 files, with ID-3 meta tags optimized for Serato, Rekordbox, and Traktor DJ software.
Although they’re a little pricey compared to other record pools, you’ll definitely get what you pay for.
The $35 a month subscription (billed annually) is well worth it, in our opinion, as you’ll get access to thousands of high-quality tracks and never have to worry about sourcing music again.
Check out our ZIPDJ Pro review for more information on their most recent update to the pool, or check out this great walkthrough explaining all the features ZIPDJ Pro has to offer:
2. Crate Connect
Price: $22 Per Month / $55 For 90 Days / $99 For 180 Days
Crate Connect is a high-quality record pool that offers DJs great value in exchange for a monthly subscription.
For $22 a month ($5 off all packages using Audio Captain Coupon), Crate Connect gives you access to over 70 different genres from a library stacked full of tracks, ranging as far back as three decades old.
What’s more, they don’t remove any tracks from their catalog after a certain amount of time, so you can expect to find all sorts of classics.
New music is added daily, and they update their own exclusive remixes and custom intros regularly, making adding tracks to your mix much easier.
All tracks are available to download at a minimum of 320kbps, but they also offer the option to download full-resolution high-quality WAVs, which not all record pools do.
Overall, Crate Connect’s user experience is simple and easy to use, and they’ve recently updated their interface to include the option to switch between light and dark and light mode, which we love.
So, for $22 a month, in our opinion, it’s well worth checking out if you’re looking to test one of the best DJ record pools in the business.
You can read our Crate Connect review for more detailed information about the record pool, or check out this walkthrough by Crate Connect, which explains all its features in detail:
3. Heavy Hits
Price: $7.99 First Month / $24.99 Per Month After / $250 Per Year
Heavy Hits is one of the go-to record pools for hip hop and R&B DJs, featuring a range of unique features specifically for melody-based genres.
While most dance music sets such as house and techno are built around blending tunes together, Heavy Hits recognizes the importance of key and melody as well as a track’s BPM.
With this in mind, their inclusion of information relating to harmonically mixable tracks, not found in other DJ pools, is indispensable for hip hop DJs, helping them match the key of various tracks using the Camelot Wheel.
The Heavy Hits library of music is extensive, with Anderson .Paak, Drake, and The Weeknd among some of the big name hip hop artists you’ll find in their catalog.
They also offer unique information regarding a track’s mood, with attributes such as danceability, energy, and valence helping DJs to easily craft sets with songs that complement each other.
Additional genres, including dance, pop, and reggae, are also supported, and all files are available in high-quality 320kbps MP3 format for optimal performance.
Everything runs through a wonderfully neon-soaked user interface that can be easily navigated, and whether you’re checking out their Spotify charts or browsing exclusive content, all-round performance is smooth.
While Heavy Hits just falls short of the best DJ record pool overall, for $24.99 a month, and only $7.99 in your first month, this well-rounded DJ pool is certainly worth trying, in our opinion.
If you need more information, read our comprehensive Heavy Hits review or watch the video below for a deep dive into everything you can expect from their record pool.
Price: $10 First Month / $30 Per Month / $150 Per 6-Months
DJCity is one of the world’s leading subscription-based digital record pools for DJs.
Established in 2000, it’s one of the oldest and most well-known record pools in the industry and has amassed thousands of members worldwide.
It focuses primarily on providing DJs with exclusive music, the latest releases, and access to a massive library of tracks.
You’re pretty much guaranteed to find tracks that fit your style as all the music listed on the platform is from the most popular genres, like Hip-Hop, House, Pop, Trap, and R&B.
So, with that in mind, we still think DJCity is by far one of the best DJ record pools on the market, as the quality of tracks and service it provides is top-notch!
5. BPM Supreme
Price: $9.99 First Month / $19.99 Per Month Standard / $29.99 Per Month Premium
BPM Supreme is another well-known record pool in the DJ world, and for a good reason.
In their own words, “BPM Supreme offers all the music you need in one dedicated source,” which is why they’re one of the best record pools in the industry, as that’s precisely what they do.
Once you subscribe to their $19.99 per month subscription, you’ll get access to hundreds of thousands of audio tracks and video files, as well as all the latest new releases, which you can easily import into your favorite DJ software.
They offer 320kbs MP3 files, multiple track versions, exclusive remixes and edits, and the best mobile app of any record pool, in our opinion.
The app allows you to listen to and preview high-quality audio tracks on the go and gives you the ability to add tracks to your crate, create playlists, and stay up-to-date with all the latest DJ, producer, and music news.
It also lets you browse through top downloads, new releases, and radio charts, so you can quickly identify the best tracks to add to your setlist.
However, creating a playlist is a feature available only to the premium plan, costing $29.99 per month, so it’s worth checking out their standard plan first and upgrading when necessary.
BPM Supreme has one of the biggest back catalogs of any record pool and updates it with new releases daily.
They also have a sister brand, BPM Latino, which in our opinion, is the best Latin record pool if you’re looking for high-quality Latin music to use in your DJ sets.
Check out our BPM Supreme review for a thorough breakdown of the service.
6. Digital DJ Pool
Price: $1 First 5 Days / $20 Per Month After / $190 Per Year
Digital DJ Pool dubs itself as “the world’s best record pool and DJ network,” and they’re certainly not lying.
For $20 a month, you get access to a massive multi-genre music library, updated daily, as well as multiple versions of each song, 320kbps or higher audio quality, preset cue points (on limited tracks), and a clean user interface.
On top of that, to get you started, DDP offers a five-day trial for $1 that allows you to get up to speed with the service and download up to 15 tracks per day.
And, like most record pools nowadays, DDP has its own mobile app (see video below), which is pretty good and particularly nice on the eyes.
You can use it to find and preview tracks on the move, built setlists, create crates, and discover the latest trends.
It makes life as a DJ that little bit easier as you can download all the tracks you’ve liked when you get back to your computer, saving yourself tons of time.
Another nice feature worth mentioning is that they offer 24/7 customer support and the ability to communicate with all the other DJs using their platform.
So, if you’re after a DJ record pool that pretty much ticks all the boxes and offers a cheap trial period, then Digital DJ Pool is a no-brainer!
7. Digital Music Pool (DMP)
Price: $27.99 Per Month (Credit Card) / $69.97 For 3 Months / $134.94 For 6 Months / $249.87 For 12 Months (PayPal)
Digital Music Pool positions itself as an all-in-one music source offering the most exclusive music for DJs.
The online music subscription service updates music daily and provides DJs access to tracks exclusive to DMP.
They offer an extensive library covering various genres, ranging from EDM to House, R&B to Trap, and Reggae to Hip Hop.
DMPs interface is easy to use and allows DJs to search for songs using advanced sorting options, like Genre, Exclusives, and Top Downloads.
They also allow you to customize your dashboard with day and night modes and preview and save tracks on the go using your mobile device, which is handy for DJs always traveling.
For $27.99 a month, you’ll also get unlimited downloads for every genre, high-quality 320kbs MP3 files, multiple track versions like Clean, Dirty, Intros, and Acapellas, and access to advanced releases before they’re available anywhere else.
8. My MP3 Pool
Price: Free / $19.95 Per Month / $199.56 Per Year
MyMP3Pool has built an online reputation as one of the industry’s best DJ record pools over the last decade.
They refer to themselves as “an up-and-coming online music source for the digital DJ,” and they’ve done a pretty good job so far.
By subscribing to their monthly subscription service, you’ll get access to thousands of promotional tracks spanning multiple genres, which you can download at 320kbps.
You’ll also be able to grab various track versions, including clean, dirty, instrumentals, acapellas, DJ drops, and remixes.
All the tracks you download are tagged with information like song title, BPM, track, and key, and the added pre-set cue points make mixing a lot more convenient.
And as with some of the other top DJ record pools on the list, like ZIPDJ for example, MyMP3Pool also provides its subscribers with a handy mobile app that lets you choose and preview tracks on the go.
MyMP3Pool offers exclusives and prereleases, and you’re able to browse through their curated playlists and charts to stay on top of what’s trending.
9. Direct Music Service (DMS)
Price: $29.95 Per Month Starter / $269.95 Per Year Starter
Digital Music Service (DMS) is one of the oldest record pools in existence, originating in 1999.
They’re “the industry leader in DJ-friendly intro edits and the originators of many editing styles such as acapella outs, quick hitters, acapella loops, & more.”
DMS is particularly appealing to open format DJs, as they offer a wide range of genres and one of the biggest back catalogs in the business.
The platform updates tracks weekly, and most of the downloads are 320kbps; however, some are 256kbps, but not that many.
If you can’t find a particular edit, DMS allows you to send a request, which they’ll do their best to arrange for you, which technically makes it a custom service.
DMS also has a mobile app that allows you to listen to and preview music on the go.
But, it’s nowhere near as good as ZIPDJ or Crate Connect, in our opinion, but it is still a nice feature to have, especially as DMS is probably the most expensive DJ record pool of all.
Their starter plan costs $29.95 a month, which is double what most record pools charge, and that doesn’t give you access to video files like you get with BPM Supreme. So, where’s the value, you ask?
Well, it’s in their extensive back catalog and custom professional edits, which, if your DJing regularly, is well worth the money as you’ll never be without tracks and edits.
10. Club Killers
Price: $35 Per Month
Club Killers is, without doubt, one of the leading DJ record pools in the business.
If you ask any DJ what record pools they use and recommend, it’s highly likely Club Killers is one of them.
The interface is easy to navigate, and they have an impressive, well-stocked back catalog of tracks to download.
Where they set themselves apart is their extensive collection of custom edits.
If you’re a DJ that prefers to use edits, Club Killers is for you as most of their trending tracks are edited by Club Killers residents and include everything from re-mixes to mashups.
However, despite their size and back catalog, some feel that Club Killers are a bit biased toward genres like Hip-Hop and Trap, but even if that’s the case, you can still access and download thousands of tracks from multiple genres.
Also, with the rise in popularity of mobile apps among record pools, Club Killers is one of a handful of record pools that haven’t jumped on that bandwagon yet, so don’t expect to preview track’s on your phone anytime soon.
Still, even without an app, the $35 a month price tag is worth it, in our opinion, as you get access to all the tracks and edits you could need.
We hope you enjoyed our list of the 10 best DJ record pools.
There’s no denying that there are tons of record pools to choose from, but hopefully, this guide has helped you choose the one that best suits your style and preferences.
If you’re just getting started DJing, then we recommend checking out all the record pools we’ve mentioned, especially if you’re an open-format DJ, as some record pools offer a lot more variety than others.
However, keep it simple and sign up for one or two a month and play around with them until you find one you’re happy with.
It’s definitely worth your time researching a few, to begin with, as it’ll allow you to make an informed decision on which one is right for you.
Our personal favorites are ZIPDJ & Crate Connect.

For me its important to be able to download the MP3/FLAC files and be able to manage them myself. That unfortunately eliminates BeatSource which otherwise would be my favorite.
So I stick to ZIPDJ for now as they have a good selection of tracks that I need.
